[QUESTION] To disable the textbox asking for a user data directory when launching cellxgene

Open lijinbio opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Hi all,

I am wondering if we can disable the popup textbox asking for a name of user's data when launching cellxgene. The name might not be important for users, and a random name might work. The popup textbox might cause distraction when exploring the page each time. Thanks.

Hey Jin Li!

What version of cellxgene are you running? I did not get this pop up when launching a dataset with the latest version

Alternatively, you could give the --disable-annotations option a shot

Hi @MaximilianLombardo, thanks for your reply. I have self-compiled cellxgene at the latest commit. So, the version should be the latest. I just tried --disable-annotations by your suggestion, but unfortunately, the textbook keeps pop up from a fresh browser session. Say,

I also tried version 1.0.1 in Pypi, and the textbooks keeps popping up. Could you please help suggest any solutions? Thanks.

Hi @MaximilianLombardo, may I ask any suggestions on this? Thanks.

Had this issue, seems you need both --disable-annotations and --disable-gene-sets-save otherwise the box appears?
