This sounds like a bug to me, but until we fix it it will also be a limitation of the platform.

@Srinivass0704 Yes the issue has been triaged now. Looks like it's a P2, which means we probably won't get to it for a while.
We'd like to, though I can't say with certainty until we have a dev investigating the bug.
No changes in this space as far as I'm aware. Sounds like this might just be a scenario (.NET + UWP) that we haven't validated, and doesn't look fully supported...

It's the environment variable section in the doc I linked: "This value may also be set by using the WEBVIEW2_DEFAULT_BACKGROUND_COLOR environment variable. There is a known issue with background color...

If this is the admin/elevated issue, we are tracking that in #802. Otherwise I would expect this to just work.
@rgup63 No we don't support that as a WebView2 API today. Do you want me to open that as a feature request?
