re-add --stage-tags and --package-version-* flags?

Apko 0.11.3 removed the --stage-tags and --package-version-* flags - https://github.com/chainguard-dev/apko/pull/942. I have been relying on these flags in a CI pipeline for generating images. Would it be possible to re-add these flags? Is there some sort of maintenance they need that I could contribute to justify their return?
