Keplr mobile signArbitrary

Open ThomasDEVio opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

Hey, I've been trying to sign messages to prove ownership of wallet from the keplr mobile app for a few days now without much success, the documentation only covers the desktop version for this.

I've tried like it's described here: https://docs.keplr.app/api/#request-signature-for-arbitrary-message

Describe the bug However it returns something like "Error: Not implemented"

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Try to signArbitrary from keplr mobile app
  2. See error

Expected behavior I expect it to work as on desktop & open prompt like here: https://prnt.sc/o_fWIpRQ7Zps

Device details (please complete the following information):

  • Happens on any device without the keplr desktop extension, so any mobile or any device linked with the QR code from walletconnect

I'm not 'married' to the signArbitrary, I am willing to use other functions to make it work for mobile, any suggestions? Thanks

It is currently not supported in Keplr mobile.

The issue has been opened for over a week, could you please reply with something more helpful? Are there any alternatives to use? Do you have an ETA on implementing this on Keplr mobile? It is a pretty critical feature...

hello 👋 my team is interesting in learning what it will take to support the signArbitrary API/ADR-36 in keplr mobile. we see that it does look like support is planned, based on this method existing in the wc-client:

https://github.com/chainapsis/keplr-wallet/blob/8ca461f3bf77522af2398a797a3acf7a95219286/packages/wc-client/src/index.ts#L379-L385

we're curious to know what it takes to support the API, and what/if any blockers there are for this. any details you can share would be appreciated @Thunnini, thanks ahead.

just noting that there is a bit more relevant context in https://github.com/chainapsis/keplr-wallet/issues/474.

Is adr36 support for Keplr mobile still planned? also - is there any workaround we can implement?
