Can libcppfs.a (static library) be made part of Ubuntu PPA deb package

The ubunu ppa package is missing static library. Is this intentional? If not, can it be made part of libcppfs-dev package?

Regarding Debian and Ubuntu deployment, we're learning new best practices and requirements every week. Usually, we deploy shared libraries. If a static library better fits your needs, we'll discuss it. We didn't omit it intentionally; it was more pragmatically.
