Not sure whether it's a new technology or PEBCAK, but the extension no longer bypasses NYT, and the URL says something about a bad cookie. Happy to provide more info...

Financial Times is not working. I thought it was because it had been downloaded from the Chrome WS. But after sideloading the file, too, the very same thing is occurring....
