Missing manual.pdf
Hi, I've seen that in the last version the manual.pdf was removed. I think it's very useful and should be manteined as well as the new website. Would you consider adding it again?
I think as soon as Typst support HTML output, we will have both, a PDF and a Web documentation. But for now, there will be no PDF version. Maintaining both is too much work.
Reasonable to just maintain a single documentation. However, the current Web documentation is not complete. Any suggestions on how to access the complete guide?
There is no other guide than the web-version.

The web-version is still very incomplete, and looks ugly to be honest, why do you waste your reputation? Now the main reference for me is still the pdf file. What's worse, I do not know ho to contribute, although I really like this package. For typst users, it is much easier to contribute to the .typ files rather than .mdx files.
I really do not understand the behavior of deleting a evry useful documentation, while not making progress on the new documentation for half an year. Documentation about a lot of features are still missing. If you think maintaining the web version is much easier, then maintain it.
The old manual
For someone who repeatedly find this document like me: cetzmanual.pdf
To backup my comment on why the current documentation is "ugly", the font in the following table is much larger than the title. It is not how a polished document should look like.
Imagine, when I recommend cetz to my friends, I send him the previous pdf file, he would be excited about it becuase it is neat and contains everything he wants. If I show him this web page. Hmm...
When we had the (imo totally fine) PDF documentation people were complaining on the discord, that it sucks and that we need a web version. For looking up the API I personally also prefer C-f in a PDF-Viewer. Besides the angle library, what is missing?
Yes that huge table loogs ugly, I will look into this.
Maybe with Typst HTML support we can generate a PDF + Some files for the web.
Besides the angle library, what is missing?
The plotting part. Everything looks worse in the web page, this is how I felt. Can you understand the following descriptions about anchor?
The pdf version is good

The pdf documentation is remarkable in my opinion. It helps me a lot when editing documents. I can scroll through it and immediately know what is available in CeTZ, which is impossible for websites.

Can't agree with this more, take tikz to compare: there exists:
- detailed(although too long) manual of PDF-version, which is easy to search and know what feature it provide, users could easily know what they want in a global perspectives.
- What's more,
tikzalso provide online version, which is also the same detailed, and up-to-date, which is easy to search and share.
If only one version could be maintain, I perfer a more detailed PDF-version, it's more important for a manual to be detailed and comprehensive enough to show what CeTZ could do, IMO....
It's also far beyond my understanding that PDF & online version of manual is so different in the example of anchor in GiggleLiu's comment: #728 (comment)

The last PDF manual published is for version 2.2 while cetz is on version 4.1, that is why. I am open to re-creating the PDF version, although tooling for generating documentation is not very good imho.
FYI: I started working on bringing back a PDF version. This will take some time though, as I want to keep the current web-version and I am not sure yet how to do the HTML conversion etc.
You can check out the WIP PDF version here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cetz-package/cetz/refs/heads/resurect-manual-pdf/manual.pdf
It contains API documentation only, right now and might be incomplete or have errors.
