Controllers cannot switch between USB and Bluetooth

Open davidhedlund opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

  • Connect a controller to a Bluetooth device in GNU/Linux.
  • In Cemu, add a controller in Options -> Input settings. If you connect it with USB and detach/re-attach the cable, it will connect back automatically to Cemu. Same thing with Bluetooth, if you inactivate the physical game controller to stop the wireless connection, and active it back again, it will be automatically re-connected in Cemu.
  • However, if you add a controller with Bluetooth, and then disconnect the Bluetooth device in the OS, and connect a USB cable to the controller, it will not re-connect. This is also true for vice versa situations, if you switch from USB to Bluetooth. The workaround is to delete the "Controller" (hit the "-" button) in Options -> Input settings, and the click on the "+" button and add it back.

Working as expected, the controller does not have the same GUID and requires reconfiguring.

Oh. Why not indicate it by displaying some text?

RPCS3 can switch between USB and Bluetooth seamlessly. I have no idea if it's possible to reuse the source code, but it may be worth a look?
