Thanks for sharing the screenshots (and App logs). The logs do not show anything that'd point to the issue you've reported (those error msgs are expected on Android S+ and Rethink should deal with it just fine... probably we should relegate those msgs to warning instead).

How often does the issue happen? Is it frequent or was it one-off?

Can you fetch "Very verbose" Configure -> Settings -> App logs (enable them before you try STOP but Rethink wouldn't)? It is likely there's a deadlock in there some where... 2 of 3 of which we fixed in recent versions:
