Weapon Powers not automatically equipping

Open Capoodle opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

Certain modded weapons (in this example: the ones from the VIGILANT quest mod), automatically equip powers when the weapon is equipped. When these weapons are added to a cycle, and equipped via the cycle-swapping, the powers are not automatically equipped like they would if equipped from the inventory.

Huh. I wonder if I have to deliberately act to equip the power. Could you give me a specific weapon name (or formid if you have easy access to it) for one of these weapons? I want to console-gift it to myself to test. I have a similar report about the Bloodskal blade in the Dragonborn DLC, but to test that I have to go to the zone and do the quest. (The sword's special power is not active unless you get it as part of the quest and are on that quest step.) TY in advance!

Stone-Hunter's Sword (I'm on mobile and can't confirm th name, but I think that's the name) is one of the weapons that comes with a minor power. It should be worth noting that Vigilant weapons automatically add a minor power, rather than the powers being an innate passive like the Bloodskaal Blade.

Thank you! That should be enough for me to try to repro this.

Hi, I'm the one who originally reported the issue with bloodskal blade and I think that those issues are indeed connected. I also had the same issue with weapons that added spell effects on equip from legacy of the dragonborn. I guess that VIGILANT adds lesser powers in similiar way to how LoTD adds spell effects. Likely all of these are the same issue
