Successfully encoding with h264_omx codec, for USB and IP cameras, after upgrading to FFMPEG 3.4.3 and removing zero_copy with patch (ccrisan/motioneyeos#998). Thanks to @jasaw.
@Freakapotamus, I suspect that the machinery is restarting due to problems (please check your logs) with your IP camera. Are you using a WIFI IP cam?
Which IP camera are you using?
Do you have any other endpoints than this url: rtsp://Login:[email protected]/live1.sdp.

correct, we changed libraries to support hardware encoding. I should make a complete list of all working resolutions. Your assumptions/tests are correct @marcel31415.
