Dark Mode configuration colors not being applied in Windoze

In Windoze 10, the Person CardView mode is not applying color changes to backgrounds in Dark Mode theme.

I am starting to have a little success at making things visible in dark mode. It requires tweaking a LOT of color swatches

The borders in the Nav Gramplet are a bit strident though. (The Gramplet reflects the Themes add-on font size changes but the view modes do not.)

@emyoulation am I to take away from this that you will have a new set of defaults you'd recommend for me to bake into the default and minimal templates?

I think that mine would be better as examples of downloadable templates... I am my father's son: severely aesthetically challenged.
