New Gui for Batching of files

Open techguru0 opened this issue 10 months ago • 5 comments

there really needs to be a better way to batch files having to load a file edit everything make a new profile for settings then closing that and then loading the folder with files is very annoying you should be able to load a folder have it added to que then you can change the setting for ALL the files at once..... especially when you are applying the same encoding setting to all files

I think it has close to what you are asking.

Create a profile for the settings you want. Then go to File > Load Directory

it would be better to load all the files -- then be able to set the encoding setting for all files loaded or also be able to do each one individually

Oh so you can like load all of them a quickly switch between them to edit details? Right now best possible is do the load folder, then when they are all in queue you can click the return from queue button to edit them. But honestly probably just as fast to drag and drop them in to load with a profile set if you need to modify each one.

To me this sounds like the profile's aren't giving you enough control, because you shouldn't have to edit any individually if you make a good profile. Can you give me an example of a case you would load a directory of files and still need to make individual tweaks?

well 95% of the time I am setting the same encoding setting for all the files loaded but sometimes you might wanna encode 2 files completely differently and for the profile -- most of the time I'm not using the same profile on 2 different days -- so having to set a profile for every encode is a bit annoying it would be nice to load the files and then be able to have just like 60% of the settings for encoding available in the side window or something for the other 40% of the settings you could just have a box for extra command lines -- or just checkboxes with those extra 40% of settings
