Items wont delete from queue when encoding
I have quite a few items in the queue and when I try and delete any items even completed items nothing happens, even 'clear complete' doesn't function. I had kept the queue after a restart of the app.
I saved the queue and restarted the app, after the restart I loaded the queue from file and could delete the item.
So the only reason things shouldn't be removed from the queue is if it is currently encoding items (as the queue becomes "soft locked" during that phase. Need a better way to show that.)
If it wasn't encoding at the time, probably means there was an error and thought it was still encoding for some reason. If you still have the logs for GUI they may be helpful (Help > Open Log Directory)

No problem then, I was encoding. I used to be able to delete but I understand if it’s required to stabilize the queue while it’s working.
That's good to hear. Yeah I need to visualize that better (and just remove that button when encoding).
That also gives me the idea to add an "auto-remove complete" option some might want :)

Will this function (live queue editing) be gone for good? The ability to check items and delete batches of items or move them up or down would be nice also.
It's definitely not a "never going to be allowed!" case.
Just due to the huge internal queue rewrite for 4.9 I couldn't bring all features back / reliably test everything to start with. I can't promise that feature will come back, or if it will be anytime soon, but I am not against having it.
Would be awesome to be able to edit the queue during encoding - both deleting and moving items.
Currently, I need to wait for an encode to stop before cleaning out my queue. Since FastFlix doesn't always mark items as finished but with Encoding command X of X I can't even delete those finished items until restarting FastFlix. Furthermore, every time I delete or move an item the whole UI locks for a couple of seconds. If I want to move an item from the bottom to the very top it literally takes two minutes as I have to wait for 2-5 seconds after every click.
