Using cmake for install?

I have seen a few other packages using cmake to facilitate installation of packages with C++ code. In particular some of which are dealing with getting Windows to compile with the nvcc compiler for CUDA code. This will be particularly important if I can resolve the CUDA backend in issue #110.
