@isomorpheme Thanks for looking into this. I sent a PR to cabal2nix that should somewhat fix this: https://github.com/NixOS/cabal2nix/pull/611. This problem will require a separate fix in stacklock2nix as well.
This has made its way to Nixpkgs: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/278674/commits/0c2ff42913035c83d56b53aeafd24b39b31d4152 But we still need this same fix in stacklock2nix, I think.

It appears that this problem doesn't occur in commit ce23f101f7. I haven't run a git-bisect to figure out which commit causes this, but I could if it is not reproducible...
