Stubs indicating reason for filtering

Open SentorBis opened this issue 11 years ago • 10 comments

Never used 4chan x until today and it's great, except for one option I think it would be good to add.

When you hide / filter posts with stubs activated, it'd be great if the stub indicated the reason why the post has been filtered right next to the hidden post's author's name. For example:

[+] Anonymous (R: reply to hidden post >>80903651) [+] Anonymous (R: hidden manually by user) [+] Anonymous (R: filtered string "kek") [+] Elisif !XeberWMtdA (R: filtered tripcode "!XeberWMtdA") [+] Elisif !XeberWMtdA (R: filtered string ":^)" & filtered tripcode "!XeberWMtdA")

That'd be hella cool if it's possible. When you suddenly see dozens of hidden posts and you have dozens of filters on, it'd be good to be able to see what's happening easily.

I'd also like to see this feature.

This is much better than marking filtered words but, needs to use this HTML below, to avoid cluttering post info div, using title attribute.

<a href="javascript:void(0)" title="filtered string 'kek'">[R]</a>

Or a custom tooltip created using jQuery, that shows on mouse hover (same as above but more customizable).

Also an option to show why a post is filtered next to it would be nice too.

hurlawhirl, #1257:

Can a feature be added to leave a note on message stubs? For example, noting where the filter came from if you copy and paste multiple filter sets in. Useful for tracking multiple retarded posters or debugging filters.

Something like /rSmHFVTG/i;boards:vg;stub:yes;note:TQ;

I'm currently (slowly) working on this, using Mayhem's fork for guidance.

Hm, appears Mayhem has completely deleted the archived repo. And I don’t have a copy of the repo as it was.

Here's what I have: https://github.com/ccd0/4chan-x-mayhem

I'm adding my name to the pool of wanting to see this feature made real.
