Not detecting keyboard events on most Samsung devices

There is a known issue with the virtual keyboard on most Samsung devices (probably some other brands too) that wont fire keyboard events properly. Mousetrap works perfect with iPhones, iPads, and many Android based brands but it doesn't work on most Samsung devices (it does work on S8 and S9 series). Is there a work around to this problem? Thank you
