Cannot bind Ctrl + full stop

Binding "mod+,", "shift+." or just "." works:

Mousetrap.bind("mod+,", event => { console.log("!"); });
Mousetrap.bind("shift+.", event => { console.log("!"); });
Mousetrap.bind(".", event => { console.log("!"); });

But binding "mod+." doesn't:

Mousetrap.bind("mod+.", event => { console.log("!"); });

Nothing happens when I press Ctrl + ..

Tried in Chrome and Firefox on Windows 10 and NixOS. Keyboard layout is sv-SE.
