No Vive controllers detected after install (Version 8)

Vive Controllers (Leap motion) not detected by steam VR in this version (Alpha Release 8), Version 3 works fine.

Same here, Release 8 didn't show anything inside SteamVR, whereas Release 3 worked immediately

Same here, my very first install of this software was Release 8 and it did not work for me. Release 3 worked but I wanted to use Release 8 since I assume it has some improvements in it. I followed amym's instructions she posted to this thread https://github.com/cbuchner1/driver_leap/issues/3 and they worked for Release 8.

i have the same problem but i uninstalled release 8 and did release 3 instead but nothings working my headset shows up but it dosent show any controllers connected, can anyone help me out?
