Save and retrieve the database to a location of choice

A method to catalog drives that are online or offline and be able to search such database. The ability to update just that drive or folder A good function would be able to save the database and be able to retrieve a stored data base. A perfect example is a old windows program call "Advanced File Organizer" works in wine but can crash a lot and is long been a piece of abandoned software.
