Here's the Cough drop link: https://www.mycoughdrop.com/

Please try and test with several boards with different types, sizes, colors, number of pictos,and folders.

How would one go about exporting and importing boards between coughdrop and cboard?

@grochadc You will need to:

  • Set up an account in both apps
  • Export the default board set from Cboard to .OBF format (Open Board Format) - this will result in an exported file.
  • Upload the .OBF file to CoughDrop and check if there are any issues such as: Missing colors, text, or buttons that do not behave as expected (folders not working, speech not working).

If all goes well, this will suffice, but I assume something will break since it wasn't tested thoroughly. If that is the situation you can either:

  • Report back here on what doesn't work (bugs)
  • Report and fix the export algorithm in Cboard (more on that if needed).

I exported Cboard's home board to Coughdrop and the "folder" cards in Cboard are treated as regular cards in Coughdrop.

Instead of opening more cards when I click on "quick chat", Coughdrop reads the words "quick chat".

Is this expected behavior?

@grochadc yeh for a single board that's the expected outcome. I tried to export the entire boardset .OBZ file type. It failed to import in CoughDrop.. checking what is the reason (maybe file size, maybe file integrity).

Seems like export to .OBZ is broken ~~I'll open an issue.~~

Issue #707
