apl-sof-setup-audio fails on HP 11 G6 EE "Snappy" (Apollo Lake)
Exact model: https://chromebookdb.com/chromebook/hp-chromebook-11-g6-ee-3nu58utaba/
~~After successfully booting Breath on my Chromebook and running apl-sof-setup-audio
, the script runs successfully until it reaches this line in sof-setup-audio
:~~
~~echo 'blacklist snd_hda_intel' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-disable-sst.conf
~~
~~At this point the terminal hangs and, eventually, the whole machine restarts with no soundcard being made available upon boot.~~
Re-flashing to another USB stick seems to have resolved this into the more mundane issue of "the script runs successfully, but no card is found after reboot", which sounds more like #226. Will upload alsa-info
shortly.
Running Ubuntu Jammy 22.04 (with KDE, if it matters).
Okay, this took me long enough. Here are the outputs of alsa-info
before and after running apl-sof-setup-audio
, attached.
alsa-info - no setup.txt
asla-info - after setup.txt
Edit: Added dmesg.txt
.
dmesg.txt
Same here. Sound card is recognized but only errors for the firmware loading. The page https://wiki.galliumos.org/Hardware_Compatibility shows Known issues for the internal audio so I guess this may not work with Breath as well. Bluetooth audio head set works fine and I've ordered one usb audio adapter to try with head phones or external speakers.
