Can this be used without xmr-node-proxy?

Many pools do not like web miners because they have low hashrate and use much traffic. That is why it is recommened to use https://github.com/Snipa22/xmr-node-proxy between miners and pool.

Does this proxy also need the xmr-node-proxy or can I use just this proxy directly with common monero pools?

coin-hive-stratum by default uses only one connection to the pool per 100 miners. You would not use xmr-node-proxy with this.

@adamdupuis no pools do recommend using the node proxy since they get hammered with constant jobs being done vs a batch of completed jobs..

that being said you can use coin hive stratum WITHOUT the xmr node proxy on all pools ive tried without issues or complaints

Has anybody done a benchmark of hashrate when using coin hive stratum vs xmr node proxy?

I tested xmr-node-proxy and I noticed a difference of 20% less in my hashrate.
