Currently the option is accidentally ignored. [FIXED]

When that issue is fixed, it errors [FIXED]. Before that issue, I seem to recall that it doesn't properly distribute spectrum colors.

Should have tests.

Making it work again looks pretty trivial; (1) I forgot to hook things up properly when I changed how the command line option works and (2) when I merged another pull request without thoroughly testing, it caused the name of something to change
