feature/help request: save output locally

Open da5nsy opened this issue 7 months ago • 3 comments

I had assumed that the output would be saved locally. Perhaps it is and I'm just looking in the wrong places? I tried looking in the same directory as the input, which would be my best guess, but no joy.

If this is working as intended, may I make it a feature request to have a toggle which would enable the local saving of the output?

My use case: I've made a screen recording on my phone, which I want to upload into a GH issue (and so I can't use the native "share" dialog). I searched on f-droid for "video compression" and this was the first result.

Work around found: share to "Files by Google", saves within downloads directory

Yes, you can use that or any file explorer app but that is idiot way to save file if I touch screen by wrong the file is gone as nothing happened, and I have to compress it again the default behavior should be save video locally then option to share it after it saved

Yeah, an option to save the video (and setting to "where" to save it) is much much missed.
