Once everything is ready, we want to send an email to the team, like it was a release, with

  • an explanation of how to use is (pointing to the doc)
  • adding a short explanation to the dev-system white paper
  • ...

Can you create a checklist here of what it is needed before releasing it and an ETA?

Wait what is this regarding, coverage, Buildmeister or runnable dirs XD

Coverage (since it is in that in that EPIC), but let me update the title for clarity. But, good point, yes, we should start doing releases and send an email to the entire company for all those features. Can you file issues if we don't have a "Deploy to the team" one?

@gpsaggese

  • The coverage on cmamp is not showing the flags like helpers
  • I tried to debug but did not work so finally I have mailed their tech support few hours back
  • We can still mail the team with the links as helpers works as expected as soon as I add a note to the white paper

Would you rather wait for this issue with cmamp to be solved or mail the team before it?

adding a short explanation to the dev-system white paper

Do you mean add a section in here? papers/Causify_development_system/Causify_dev_system.md?

PR: https://github.com/causify-ai/helpers/pull/776

Correct. The invariant is that the "dev system paper" is like a white paper that describes at high level how we develop. When somebody new joins, they read that paper and they get a sense of how to do things.

Also we will publish that paper somewhere to advertise "this is how we build systems at Causify".

  • [x] Improve the release email https://docs.google.com/document/d/13xvmMNhdwcXOT-uQjQ6AnUs-XmQ4drp2DJdhgxVCa-E/edit?tab=t.gv9ai8ul6ju5

    • [x] Do people need to sign up with their GitHub account? Can @Shaunak01 or @heanhsok try it out? If so we should tell people in the email that they need to do that

    • [x] Let’s tell people that we are at ~50% coverage and BM will report the coverage as part of the updates I would add a couple of pics
