Emoji Confetti Render Issue in Firefox (on macOS)

I was testing my website in Firefox (version 121.0) on macOS (Sonoma 14.2) and noticed that some emojis are rendering incorrectly in the canvas confetti (v1.9.2); please see the screenshot below.

The strange thing is that it only occurs with some emojis (e.g., "🦄" looks correct, "🍑" looks distorted when using the system ui font).

I found this issue where a similar (the same?) bug has already been fixed. But there still seems to be a problem...
