Extracting a horizontal slice

When extracting a horizontal slice from one of the ocean databases, it seems that the continental grid values are not retrieved correctly. As a result, the values are averaged over land instead of put to NaN.

I believe I understand what's behind that bug. I'll check that tomorrow, as soon as I'm back to land (late in the day).
