Window expands horizontally to fit shades popover in mini mode

This makes for a jarring color picking experience. In large mode this does not appear to happen and the popover extends outside the bounds of the window as expected.

Also, the popovers don't all go the same direction, which is weird and possibly related.

This is intentional, and working around a limitation of GTK3 on X. I believe it's fixed in (unreleased) GTK4 on Mutter, but I'm not sure about other combinations of toolkit version and display server protocol.
