Generally LTS versions of Node should work. 16 is best for now :)

Thanks @jonathanslenders - it helps to know that looking at all of make's source isn't necessary.
Actually same-line dependencies aren't currently supported. From the README: > A maximum of one `@make` alias or command per line So this is a feature request rather than a bug
I think this would be a useful addition, certainly would be included in `tqdm`'s `Makefile` too, so happy for a PR
