How to quickly clear the search field in Xeft?

Open AdelleBernal opened this issue 10 months ago • 4 comments

I am a new Xeft user and would like to know if there's a quick way to clear the search field. I have been manually deleting the text, but is there a shortcut or command to clear the search input more efficiently?

Personally I do C-a C-k, which works across Emacs.

Thanks. This works when in the same line, but if you have been scrolling the Xeft buffer it won't work. I was wondering whether there is a reset function. Because even calling xeft again won't reset it.

With deft, C-c C-c deletes all the search phrase and C-c -C-q quit deft (also very useful I think)

Thanks. Personally I do M-< C-k to clear the line when point isn't at the first line. (I reminded M-< to another key, M-< is the default binding.) To quit, just kill the buffer.
