Improve Carvel's Open-Source Project Healthiness
Note: This is an epic issue to track the planned work for improving Carvel's open-source project health.
Why
We want to ensure that Carvel is easily understood, trusted, and approachable so that potential users know what they can expect from the project.
How
This work will be accomplished through a number of phases:
- Establish ground rules for community engagement by aligning on community engagement protocols.
- Establish a healthy foundation by ensuring that the tools are easy to get started with and that the project is easy to understand and follow.
- Increase our reach of existing tools and capabilities by generating more content on Carvel to improve better discoverability.
- Make contributing easy by making the tools easy to contribute to.
- Make maintenance easy by automating or documenting as much as possible.
moved from /carvel-community to /carvel as we are merging the two into one
Adding a 'How to Contribute' page to the official docs seems like a good way to pull in new contributors.
https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/community/contributing/ways_to_contribute.html This seems like a good reference for such a page.
Great suggestion, @Anutrix. I added this comment to a more specific issue: https://github.com/vmware-tanzu/carvel/issues/58
