-Would it be possible to add an optional tag that included a blog description right below the blog title?-

I'll just submit a PR and do it myself.

edit: What I really wanted to ask : how do you get those menu bars at the top. I don't see it anywhere in the manual.

edit 2: nevermind - found that out, too.

Sorry that I forgot to reply to this. As it isn't in the original theme, it isn't here. Having anything extra is possible, but I have no idea how it would look like to have description below the blog title, since that top title bar is very short. PRs are welcomed. Thanks!
