List location in info summary box at top of the main page.

I usually end up adding the workshop location to the info box at the top of the page, so that learners don't need to scan for it in the "General Information" section. For two examples, see 2016-10-06-harvard, and 2016-04-29-ucsf.

It fits (both spatially and logically) in the first column with the date and time. It would also be useful to link to a map service, but I'm not sure if it should be Google Maps or Open Street Maps.

Sorry if I missed where this has been discussed before. I can submit a pull request based on what I've done for workshops in the past, but I may not be the best person to choose an implementation for everyone.

I believe that we didn't add that information on the info box because (1) it should be minimalist and (2) not all workshop locations will fit on space available the box.

I that add links to Google Maps and Open Street Maps to make easy for everyone independent of which service they prefer.

Yesterday we had a discussion about how suggestions to improve will be vote for the workshop template. @k8hertweck will give more details soon.

I'd argue that there's enough utility to make up for the loss of minimalism.

Learners (and instructors like me) may be quickly checking the site the morning-of to get a reminder of where they're headed. It's tough to visually parse the more extensive info in the paragraph below when in a rush.

Great! Just wanted to add my reasoning here to flesh out the proposal.

What was the status of this? I'm in favor of adding the location (or a link to it) on the header. The most important parts of the page, in my opinion, are What/Where/When.
