Update Checkout (welcome session) info
How could the content be improved?
The Welcome Session etherpad should be updated. In addition, we may want to include information about signing up on Pretix (which does send out reminders), unlike the Etherpad where we note that there are no reminders. Tagging @elletjies and @sheraaronhurt for recommendations on what this should say.

@maneesha thanks for starting this thread. I have a question - what will the URL for welcome sessions look like in 2026? Currently, it says 2025: https://pretix.carpentries.org/community-events/welcome-sessions-2025/.
@elletjies We discussed this in our 1:1 meeting, about not having the etherpad but instead including all the necessary information in Pretix and adding a section to the handbook page. We can also add a line to the 2025 etherpad that notes this information. What do you think?

Good question @elletjies We started off doing https://pretix.carpentries.org/community-events/welcome-sessions-2025/ so we included the year. We could have a different link every year or we could use https://pretix.carpentries.org/community-events/welcome-sessions so we don't have to update it every year. What do you think?
