Are you already familiar with the existing lesson project underway in the Incubator on Quarto for reproducible publications? https://carpentries-incubator.github.io/reproducible-publications-quarto/ Since it seems that there is significant overlap between your proposed lesson topic and that one, I wonder if you have considered collaborating with the authors?

There is no rule against having multiple lessons on the same topic in the Incubator but I prefer to encourage community members to collaborate on a single resource whenever possible. If the lesson you have in mind would cater to a different audience or teach a different set of skills and concepts, I can open a new repository for you to work on instead.
