idea: calibre-web integration

I am wondering if there has been any consideration given to use the calibre-web server as the backend instead. The user interface is much more user friendly, you can read content directly in the browser and it also allows the library to be run on a server / NAS and be available all the time.

I too would love to see this. I run Calibre-Web in a container independently of any app running on my local device. It lets me search and view my collection from any web device.

Integration with that server instance would be much more preferable than having to run Calibre in the background with a network connection to my network drive of books.

You can do that with the Obsidian Open Gate plugin.

And btw, you can access to a password protected library with the http://user:[email protected]:yyyy/ trick
