Just to clarify -- this also happens when you're actively chatting **in the same window/tab**.

Same here. Both my built-in (15", 3840x2160) and external monitors are 4K (43", 3840x1200), I'm also on a Dell XPS. It's happening on both. I'm only using Chrome as well,...

It's been four months that this has been a constain pain in my ass. Could somebody please look into this? Having a 4K monitor isn't something all that exotic nowadays.

Perhaps you need a Linux desktop with a 4K resolution (which is not uncommon these days).
