Which plugin aligns pipe tables?

I want to modify the align and field tabbing behaviour but don't know where the code resides. How can I track this down?

Ie: the plugin/s that automatically makes | ab | ab | | b | b | become | ab | ab | | b | b | Then allows you to jump to different fields.

I believe the plugin you are looking for is called Tabular. And... here's a gist that tim pope put together showing how to set it up to auto align tables like this.

FWIW, this plugin isn't included in Janus, so this probably isn't the appropriate forum for this type of question. You may find a quicker response over at one of the Stack Exchange sites.

Thanks - I am using this plugin now without Janus but it does not behave in the same way. In particular, the tabbing between cells.
