Number of tabs does not update when a tab is closed

Hi, I'm using Firefox Quantum on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. When T is included in the title pattern and T>1 and a tab is closed, displayed T does not get updated. Workaround: reload a tab, then displayed T is updated to its correct current value. I'm still a big fan of ~~crappy~~ FireTitle, so I really hope you'll have time to fix this. This does not happen for me on Mac OSX 10.14.6, Firefox dev edition 69b13. Closing a tab updates the number of tabs correctly.

Still happens for me: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Firefox 68.0.2

Some improvement since I upgraded to firefox 69: now, after closing a tab, when I select a different tab in the same window, the displayed number of tabs is updated. Otherwise, it remains faulty.
