Simpler, more open adventure prompt

Open arobertn opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

You can follow the "recipe" of the now well-known linux terminal to make a more open-ended adventure game. And since it's got a pretty good text understanding system behind it, there's no need to restrict commands to single words, although sometimes those work best.

I would like you to act as a classic text-based adventure game. I will type commands and you will
reply with what the game would show. I want you to only reply with the terminal output inside
one unique code block, and nothing else. Do not write explanations. Do not type commands
unless I instruct you to do so. When I need to tell you something in English I will do so by putting
text inside curly brackets {like this}. My first command is "look".
You are in a small, dimly lit room. In front of you is a door. To your right is a desk with a lamp on it.

> turn on lamp

You turn on the lamp and the room is now brightly lit.

> examine desk

Upon closer inspection, you notice that the desk has several drawers. It looks like it might be a good place to find some useful items.

> open desk drawers

You open the drawers of the desk and find several items inside, including a pen, a pencil, and some paper.

> take pen, pencil, paper

You take the pen, pencil, and paper and place them in your inventory.

> search drawers for false bottoms

You search the drawers of the desk for false bottoms but do not find any.
