Large SVGs fail to render

This is the main thread for big or large images not being able to render

This includes:

• size
• dimensions
• many elements

We've run into this issue trying to generate a PNG for a phylogenetic tree with ~37,000 SVG elements. The code for this is currently closed source but if I get a chance I will put together a JS fiddle of it.

We're considering alternatives for doing this right now, though it would be nice to be able to do it in browser!
