Allow for people to contribute to Ubuntu regularly rather than just once
Here is a topic on the Community Hub that was started.
The idea would be, the user can select a box (or something along those lines) to donate regularly when downloading Ubuntu instead of just once. So perhaps we can use something like Liberapay to handle that.
That's a great idea. It is not a trivial piece of work and therefore may take sometime but the team will look into it.
Would suggest that just PayPal Direct Debit is used, since PayPal is already used (if this provides a good enough user experience). For a design suggestion - maybe a 'make this a recurring donation' checkbox in the grey part of the screen but below the sliders? This could expand, when checked, into some way (a drop down?) of expressing the regularity of the donation? Then the donation figure could update with e.g. $5/month (rather than just $5) and then the Proceed to PayPal button.
If PayPal Direct Debit isn't a good enough user-experience then yes I'd recommend Liberapay, it's free software and a somewhat-collectively-owned organization.

This is not stale or invalid, just low priority...
I don't see how this is low priority. Don't you want money? Would it be that hard to make a page like this: https://www.libreoffice.org/donate/
It's still not possible to set up a monthly donation, is it?
Hello, It's been almost two years since the last update and five since the first inquiry. No visible changes seen. What a pity.
