Ubuntu CVE Tracker is missing Status and Priority descriptions
Note - filling in this form will file an issue against the www.ubuntu.com website, not against Ubuntu itself, for Ubuntu bugs, please go here
Summary
Hello! The Ubuntu CVE Tracker website (UCT) should have a page that describes the Status and Priority fields for CVEs in the tracker.
There is a hover text for the priority (on the main UCT page but not individual CVE pages) but having a page that describes all priorities would be useful in comparing the differences.
There's no hover text for the status nor is there a description page. I think both would be nice additions to the website.
Process
Go to the main UCT page. There's no hovertext for the package Status
. There's no link to find descriptions of Priority
and Status
.
Go to a CVE page in UCT, such as the page for CVE-2022-23220. There is no way to discover the meaning of the Status
field nor the Priority
field.
Current and expected result
The main page and CVE pages should have a link describing the Status
and Priority
fields. They should also have hovertext describing the specific Status
and Priority
values shown.

#8935 already exists for the Priority
field but doesn't mention the Status
field of the hovertexts.
@cristinadresch @davegoddard42 I believe this needs some analysis to know where is the best place to put these descriptions (separate page? link to this page in CVE detail page? information icon etc...) and how it would look and how the user would navigate back and forth
