Thanks for the bug report, I agree that the auto-completion script is quite outdated.

There is a short-term improvement, but that PR is stale: https://github.com/canonical/snapcraft/pull/4559

The long term solution to this will be completed via https://github.com/canonical/craft-cli/pull/231.
