[Snap|Releases] Branch shows old expiration date

Open tonyespy opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Expected behaviour

Snap branches expire by default after 30 days. If a branch's expiration date is extended by re-releasing the snap using snapcraft release, the Snap Releases page for the branch doesn't seem to pickup the new expiration date.

Steps to reproduce the problem

  • publish a snap to a branch (e.g. latest/stable/test), note the ~30 day expiration date
  • wait a few days so that the time remaining drops below 30d
  • re-release the snap to the branch using snapcraft release, note that the expiration data is updated
  • check the expiration date using snapcraft.io/<snap>/releases and notice that the expiration time shown hasn't been updated

Specs

  • URL: snapcraft.io/<snap>/releases
  • OSes: Ubuntu 18.04, macOS 10.15.7
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox

Note -- please contact me out-of-band for details on the specific snap I used to reproduce this issue.

We're not getting the updated expiration date in the API response so I have raised an issue with the store team: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snapcraft/+bug/1979970
