Stuck on Starting primary after trying dymanic ram- Cant start multipass even after removing and reinstalling
Describe the bug After trying to make in hyper-v app flexible ram Cant start multipass even after removing and reinstalling. Shows starting then closes after 5-10 minutes.
To Reproduce How, and what happened?
- install multipass
- start once and close
- In hyper-v settings make dynamic ram 512-10240
- Start multipass
- not starting, close, not closing, still running, in hyper-v close
- start multipass not starting
- remove multipass, still some files, maybe install files, somewhere still using space
- cant remove multipass- stuck at start of removal only about 5% showing, end task restart windows 10
- remove multipass including all files, still some 2gb are beeing used
- install multipass
- start multipass, ubuntu not starting, closes itself after about 5 minutes
Where is some download files and app files maybe left so i could remove them?
Expected behavior Clean removal even if something crasehed, clean reinstall and to work on dynamic ram

Hi @kangarooo,
Multipass only guarantees support for changing settings of vms as we provide access to them (see modifying an instance), so we cannot predict the behavior of Multipass after changing the settings of a vm through the Hyper-V Manager. I tried setting a vm launched through Multipass to dynamic memory and had no problems, but it may not work for you.
As for the issue you described with not being able to uninstall and/or files not being removed after uninstalling, I believe it is being tracked with #3337.
Then, for the checkpoint error. Normally, you should not be encountered this as Multipass is not designed with having the user change things in Hyper-V Manager in mind. This is also a non-issue in Multipass 1.13 which is scheduled to launch in the near future. In the meantime, I would suggest trying to delete-purge the instance and launching a new one.
