image download doesn't resume on failure
Image files are relatively stable, and are downloaded via HTTP. It would be very useful if a subsequent download attempt started from where the last one failed, rather than starting over again from 0%. I believe that's most often done using the Range: header.
Hi @petiepooo,
Thanks for the report. We can certainly look into this as a future enhancement.
Somewhat related: #271 and #584.
it should be a must feature, or just add a feature to manually download images and put in right place...
beside, where is the downloaded image location?
The image files are placed within /root/.cache/multipassd/vault/images/<OsImage>/ in Ubuntu but there are multiple ways the daemon keeps track of the images being updated and in a proper state.
