When using the gems install type to configure cc_chef module, installation fails (on precise at least) because build-essential is missing.

Hi, Avishai, Could you please re-work your fix against current cloud-init trunk and then submit a merge proposal? I'm sorry that I missed this for so long.

Or just closing this neglected issue is also fine, because the closure will prevent further drain of human energy on this issue.
